GBA Oxy-tech Co.,Ltd (Facebook page) was founded in 2007 and manufactures high-quality oxygen concentrators since. It has a factory in Shenzhen City, China, that handles all stages of manufacturing. And it founded another company, called Oxytek Medical Technology Co., Ltd in 2015. This new company now manufactures POCs under the brand name LoveGo, but the brand is live since 2013.

The two companies focus only on oxygen machines, and this is a strong signal of quality. Years of polishing concentrator machines lead to high-quality products.

There are probably even more LoveGo machines on the market than you think. You can buy any LoveGo Model with your own customized logo, package, and graphics. Basically, they white-label their range of products. This is a good thing since they are committed to their brand’s quality and develop their brand – LoveGo.

LoveGo Portable Oxygen Generator Machines

LoveGo has a few models in its lineup – LG101, LG102P, LG103, LG301, LG502, and LG1002. They are tiered in their flow, purity, weight, and form factor.

I’ll focus on the portable models, and keep short with the medical grade ones. The higher tier models are expensive.

First Generation Portable Electric Oxygen Concentrator LG101 (G1)

The G1 (first gen) is a base model with a price point of just above $500. It has an adjustable continuous flow rate of between 1 and 5 liters and purity of between 40% and 93%.

The adjustable rate is: 1 LPM at 93%, 2 LPM at 75%, 3 LPM at 55%, 4 LPM at 45% and 5 LPM at 40%.

LG101’s noise level is an acceptable, as with most other machines, ≤ 43 dB. It has a background hum you’ll get used to quickly.

Battery duration is a short 72 minutes (slightly over 1 hour). Its enough for a quick arran, but not more than that. If you need a longer battery running time, consider upgrading to LG102 – the 4 hours model – or LG102S – the 8 hours model.

This model is compact, with a weight of 10.2in/26cm W x 7.7in/19cm L x 15.2 in/38cm H. It light enough to be carried from place to place – not ultra portable as high-end models – with a weight of 12lbs/5.4kg machine only and 13.5lbs/6.1kg with battery. The robust handle is very convenient.

LG101 Review

This model of LoveGo is a compromise that might suite some users.

Pros: It’s output is on the lower end, in terms of airflow. It’s one of the cheapest alternatives for a battery powered POC, even if its run time is enough for just few activities.

Cons: Battery run time is too short – You’re taking the risk of getting stuck each time you leave the house.

Second Generation Portable Oxygen Concentrator LG102P

LoveGo called the second generation (G2) to the LG101 LG102P. It is a completely different machine that outperforms the first generation in every aspect. At a price point higher than $1,200, It costs more than twice.

It offers continuous and pulses airflow features. The adjustable continuous flow rate is 1 LPM at 95%, 1.5 LPM at 93%, 1.8 LPM at 90%. The flow rate maxes at a low 1.8 LPM, but this is a battery-operated machine. The pulse flow rate is 20 BPM with bolus size (ml/breath) of 42ml at 87% to 95% purity, 58ml at 87% to 95%, and 75ml at 87% to 95%.

Compared to other models, it is a quiet machine. With a noise level of ≤40dB when it is on a hard and flat surface. But it gets a little noisier when carried around with ≤45dB.

The battery lasts for 120 working minutes (2 hours). There are two variants of the machine – 2 hours and 4 hours. There’s no technical difference, even though they are branded separately, but one model comes with one battery and the other with two (one replacement). I think 2 hours is still a little short for anyone looking to carry his POC around, but much better than G1’s 72 minutes. If you plan on using the battery frequently, I suggest opting in for the 2 batteries option.

The machine has a different form factor – there’s no carrying handle – but overall it is about the same size at 9.1in/23cm W x 8.7in/22cm L x 12.8 in/32.5cm H. The weight is almost identical at 11.5lbs/5.2 kg machine only and 13.7lbs/6.2kg with battery. You still have to consider the weight of the replacement battery if you’re going out.

My biggest concern for this model is the price point. It is getting close to global brands – such as Philips Respironics – without offering additional value.

Performance is decent and the option of four hours of battery usage is a major consideration aspect.
